I had a great time assembling the puzzle, instructions were super easy to follow and everything came together well.
I did notice a slight error on step 126, the instructions say the round part comes from sheet C, but the part was actually on sheet E
Also the holes on the acrylic sheets are too small. I had a lot of trouble getting it together and ended up breaking quite a few of the holes. I ended up having to sand down the tabs in order for it to fit, end even then, holes were still breaking. You might want to consider increasing the tolerance just a hair. The holes on the Level One puzzle, however, were perfectly sized, so maybe the holes for that one had slightly higher tolerances?
As always the Intrism kits are a notch above other makers in “fit and finish”. This kit was a little ‘fiddly’, and the tip to soak the helix pieces in water is a good one. Getting the plexiglass pieces together at the end turned to be the most challenging. Working on getting the marble thru the maze now, and like the other ones it wail take many attempts but I’ll solve it.
This was a hard fitting puzzle. The slots should be cut slightly larger to prevent pinching and breaking of the pieces. I had to glue several pieces. The age should be 15 and up. A 10 year old will break a lot of the small pieces.
All around good puzzle. Cuts were to tight. I broke several pieces and had to glue them back together. It should be 15 and above, not 10 to many small pieces for a child.
... not sure about the completion. Let me try to explain.
After I completed it and was going through to do the puzzle, I wasn't sure if some of the places the marble was to go and didn't fit was meant to be that way, or I had actually put it in the cube wrong or something. It was a little confusing to me.
As for coloring it, I used regular Sharpie markers, but I was using the 6 color palette and I knew ahead of time that it would bleed in, but it worked out since I was just using one color per piece. I plan on trying to get another level one when I can afford it just to try and do one that would have a picture on it like the pumpkin or the ghost.
Overall, I enjoyed putting it together. It was very relaxing for me and thank you for your time in creating this
I ordered the American Made in the USA pattern theme. I sent the Intrism puzzle to my grandson. He truly enjoyed putting it together and “messing” with it. He has a complete collection of ALL the Intrism puzzles. But he reports that there was no Red White and Blue pattern on it, with it or instructions on how to add it. It was a bit disappointing. The puzzle, itself, IS, however, done with the usual impeccably and mechanicaly expert design. We still call it a success, with or without the color or lack thereof.
