This was a great build and a good puzzle. The quality is excellent, and the customer service is above and beyond.
I broke a piece that was very delicate (there was a warning and I felt like I was careful, but stuff happens). I went to the Oops page (love the naming), but the piece was not listed. I used the chat, got a very quick response where they let me know they would send the part and also fix their Oops page so it was listed. I got the part very quickly (just a few days) and was able to complete the build without issues.
The paper manual is very good and I was able to complete most of the steps just with that, but used the video for about 5 steps just to be sure I had the orientation correct. I recommend the video if you need help.
I was impressed by the piece sheets and the precision of the laser cutting. I had very few places that needed sanding and it was mainly just small strands of the wood that needed a quick knock off the edge.
I am very happy with the Icon and am looking forward to starting Level One and likely buying some more.
Kyle Vandeveer, the creator of Intrism, has done it again , this time with a design that is still visually intriguing and fun to play, but with a new dynamic: one that can be built by virtually anyone. Kyle's Level One design is the easiest to assemble and play, so it is appropriate for beginners and the young alike. This is a good place to start if you don’t have the patience yet to tackle his more involved projects. Once you get your feet wet with Level One, you will understand the intricacies of the others, and build confidence to take them on.
Building the Intrism Mini was both relaxing and satisfying, and the maze proved to be a fun challenge too.
