New Eco Packaging Option
We've introduced the Eco Packaging option for one simple reason: most people recycle or toss the branded retail box and printed assembly guide once they build the maze. By removing these extras, we reduce materials, lower our environmental impact, and pass the savings on to you with 15% off the regular price.
While the Gift-Ready option offers a more polished presentation, the eco option can still be gifted—just wrap the shipping box and you’re good to go.
The Eco packaging option is currently available for Intrism Mini, with more models coming soon.
What's included:
130 wooden pieces (including extras and stand)
6-piece clear acrylic enclosure

Intrism Mini is for thinkers, tinkerers, and makers who don’t mind a challenge but want something a little more approachable than Intrism Pro. Whether you're into puzzles, art, engineering, or just building cool stuff, Intrism Mini guarantees excitement. We recommend Intrism Mini for ages 10+, but younger builders can enjoy it too with adult help.
Is prior experience needed to build it?
No experience? No problem. If you’ve ever built a LEGO set or followed IKEA instructions without too many tears, you’ll do just fine. Everything’s pre-cut and clicks together—no glue or tools required. If you prefer to start on a simpler model, we have several smaller options.
What are these made from?
Each kit is precision-cut from high-quality birch plywood using a laser cutter. It’s sturdy, smooth, and engineered to snap together with satisfying precision. No flimsy parts here—just solid craftsmanship.
Can it be painted or customized?
Absolutely. The natural wood surface takes paint, stain, and creativity like a champ. We recommend customizing it before assembly using a paint or stain that will not add thickness to the wood (otherwise it may complicate the assembly process).
What if I break a piece?
Don’t sweat it. We replace broken or missing wooden parts for free—just head to intrism.com/oops and we’ll get you building again in no time. Replacement acrylic panels are also available at Intrism.com/acrylic.
How difficult is solving Intrism Mini?
It’s trickier than it looks—Intrism Mini has 50 marble challenges throughout 3 levels and one fall sends you back to the start of that level. You’ll be navigating curves, rails, drops, and dead ends that take skill, patience, and more than a few tries to master. If you prefer to start with an easier maze, we have several options. For the most difficult challenge, check out Intrism Pro.
Does this make a good gift?
100%. It’s the kind of gift people don’t forget. Great for birthdays, holidays, graduations, or just surprising the puzzle-loving person in your life. Every order is shipped in plain, non-branded shipping material to keep the gift hidden from prying eyes. Plus, we omit the purchase price, so go ahead and ship it directly to your recipient.
How does Intrism Mini compare to other models?
Each Intrism model offers a unique build experience and maze design. Intrism Mini is our smallest original series puzzle at 6” in size, and is the only maze to offer multiple levels. To see a full comparison of all Intrism models, check out our comparison page.
Where do you ship from?
All orders ship from our production facility in Columbus, Ohio. That means fast, reliable delivery for U.S. customers and solid turnaround times for international orders as well.

Kyle always delivers
Kyle Vandeveer, the creator of Intrism, has done it again , this time with a design that is still visually intriguing and fun to play, but with a new dynamic: one that can be built by virtually anyone. Kyle's Level One design is the easiest to assemble and play, so it is appropriate for beginners and the young alike. This is a good place to start if you don’t have the patience yet to tackle his more involved projects. Once you get your feet wet with Level One, you will understand the intricacies of the others, and build confidence to take them on.
I’m extremely impressed at the fit and finish of this laser cut construct-it-yourself puzzle maze. The pieces fit together perfectly with truly no glue required. I’ve put together many wooden projects but this one stands out as the best yet. Well done Kyle. You knocked it out of the park!
The maze was so fun to put together. Challenging but not in a way where you aren't set up for success. It just takes some attention to detail and a gentle touch. I've practiced the maze for hours and still have not been able to complete it successfully yet. I like this because I would not pick it up as often if it was easy to beat. I took it to work and my coworkers can't stop trying to beat the maze. They all want to order these for fathers day. 10/10 my one complaint is sometimes my coworkers don't know where to go and neither do I within the maze. The YouTube video of someone completing the maze without the acrylic panels is very helpful for this.
Kyle, I really loved the product you designed. All the instructions were easy to follow and since I am a visual learner this played into my strengths making it a joy to assemble. I am very impressed with your attention to detail and the quality of your design. I hope you have an equally or greater challenging puzzle for me in the future. 5 STARS, Well done!!
Saw an ad for this and knew it would be an amazing gift for a family member who loves puzzles and building things, and I was right!
Super fast shipping and great packaging. He loved the gift and immediately started putting the pieces together. Excited to get him the larger size next year! I highly recommend this product.
Fun puzzle, clear instructions, good part tolerancing
Extremely fun little build! The instructions are very clear and parts are well toleranced so they fit together tightly with little to no sanding. One of my favorite wooden puzzles and the perfect gift for anyone with an interest in puzzles even if they've never done 3D puzzles before
My partner and I had a great time putting the puzzle together. It's quite elegant as a finished product and I enjoy catching her play around with it since. Would recommend. Thanks Kyle!
My 14 year old Autistic grandson put this together, he did majority of the work, I only had to help maybe three times. He loves it. It would be great to see additional puzzles. I am now putting one together for myself it’s hard, don’t know how he finished it so quickly.
This product is outstanding. The material is excellent and the completion of the maze was a fun "puzzle". The description for the assembly is very clear. The laser cut pieces are perfect and the parts went together without glue. After sever hours/days of trying to complete the maze I was able to get to the next to the last step five different times, but then lost as the marble dropped to the bottom! However on the sixth attempt I was able to get to the finish line. I would rate this higher than 5 stars if I could.
I bought this as a gift for my 74 yo father. We started it together while I was visiting for a few days. I popped the pieces and he put it together. He finished it by himself 2 days after I left. What a great gift for a puzzle lover! It’s well-made and lovely once it’s complete. It’s not easy, but with some patience and care, it’s great fun. Highly recommend! Hope you come out with some new designs.
I'm a retired engineer and really enjoyed the construction process! Instructions are great, and the assembly drawings are excellent. Then the finished unit is a striking display, just asking to be picked up and enjoyed. Well done!
Great project. Fun puzzle. Well made. I was skeptical when this showed up. But once I started, the directions and engineering are amazing. I could not stop thinking about it when I was not working on it. I also had a bad feeling that I would finish and the cube would not fit. I was wrong. Fit perfectly. It is a favorite on my coffee table. Get this. You won’t regret it.
I had an issue with advertised vs USPS estimated delivery dates. I had chosen a higher shipping cost in order to recive my package a day ealier than regular shipping. But when the USPS tracking number came, the proposed delivery date as the same as the cheaper shipping.
I submitted a note to customer servcie who promptly replied and offered to waive all my shipping cost. But to top it off, the USPS did manage to get my package delivered in time.
Bottom line, great, responsive customer service. You don't find th at alot now days.

This project was a fun build. All of the parts went together well, however, the planks or wooden boards to pull the parts all came off the sheet as I continued. Also, it would be extremely helpful if you would number the parts instead of just the picture of the part.

All around good puzzle. Cuts were to tight. I broke several pieces and had to glue them back together. It should be 15 and above, not 10 to many small pieces for a child.

You did not tell me in the instructions that I would need twizzlers and needle nose pliers because I have fat fingers or the wifes Emory board instead of using your sand paper which worked better the of the first three went well the big one is coming soon had a blast so far when do you come out with any new ones did not find any kind of catalog it was al fun

Tinkering
I received the Intrism mini as a Christmas gift. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into but as the pieces started forming I started to feel like a toy maker tinkering away. I have two bits of advice if you are thinking of buying one. Don’t pull out all the pieces like I did and struggle to find pieces. Secondly, while you can use some oomph to put the pieces in, a little too much and pieces can break. If that happens, just use this site and select the broken piece and they will send a replacement in a jiffy.. I truly give the experience 4.75/5.

cheaply made - couldn't finish.
I finished the entire wooden puzzle (not easy - had to superglue some pieces in place that kept falling out). go to put the clear box together & the pieces all broke. they didn't fit into eachother well at all, & would crack & snap when trying to push them in place. puzzle isn't usable without the box, so it all went in the trash.

It was fun until it wasn’t.
I loved putting 98% of this together. However, after sitting and working on it all the way through for 4+ hours, I’m at the end where I’m putting the rings on, and everything inside the puzzle is falling apart while trying to get the rings to click into place. So now I can’t even reach the pieces in the center to put them back together. What’s worse is that a few pieces required a dab of glue to keep into place, so now I can’t even try to spend the time to disassemble the thing because some pieces will probably break. Fun for the first 4 hours, extremely frustrating for the last 20 minutes.
